Packs 60 Cartons a Minute

PAKSMART® PC60 Cartoning Machine is an intermittent motion horizontal load carton machine with speeds of up to 60 cartons per minute.
The PC60 features a hygienic stainless steel frame with debris fall through design, quick size change and a unique one touch in-feed conveyor bucket adjustment taking only seconds.
The latest addition to the PAKSMART® Carton Machines is the Electronic Interface Panel which displays machine status for stoppage indication, speed adjustment, glue shutoff timing and carton erector offset.
Another cost saving function is the Cycle Stop feature which prevents carton wastage by stopping with the last glued carton in compression.
As standard our carton machines use SEW Servo Motor Drives for the carton machine and the bucket in-feed conveyor.
The PC60 in addition uses Servo drives for the Loader and the Erector. The use of servo drives has dramatically reduced weight, wear and tear, maintenance as well as increased performance and reliability. Carton erecting is by a twin head rotary pick and place erector. Product loading is by a servo driven overhead sweep style transfer.

Operation: The Loader is a continuos motion device which controls the carton indexing as well as the product in-feed conveyor. Upon start-up the carton machine will index until both carton and product are at the load station.
The carton is erected via the continuous motion pick and place rotary erector at station 1. Product is indexed through the in-feed conveyor to the load station 2. Once this is achieved a load cycle will occur. The PC60 will index again until another load condition is met producing a load cycle. The following stations 3 and 4 close both dust flaps and station 5 ploughs the inner major flaps closed ready for glue application. The carton indexes to the stations 6 and 7 for compression. The last station 8 moves this sealed carton to the discharge conveyor.

• Easy machine access for operator and maintenance personnel through frameless top to bottom polycarbonate safety doors.
  
• Safety doors are hinged and monitored by interlocking guard switches. The guard switches are checked for correct operation by a multi channelled safety relay.
  
• Cycle stop function positions all glued cartons in compression preventing reject cartons due to normal machine stops.
  
• Carton erecting is via a twin head rotary pick and place erector.
  
• Separate erecting and loading stations for higher speed and greater efficiency.
  
• The Loaders electronic cam controls the indexing of the in-feed conveyor and carton machine.
